About The Founder

Soheila Forughian

Despite her childhood passion for dance and performing arts, Soheila decided to pursue an engineering degree at Leeds Metropolitan university. However, even after graduating from university and a successful career in engineering, her love for dancing never diminished. Following her move to Singapore and  a period of teaching at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, she finally found a way to  combine her analytical skills and teaching experience to  pursue her main passion by creating the Rhythmic Fitness Program for ladies and children. Rhythmic Fitness is a combination of movements using the Middle Eastern dance steps as a means of keeping fit with the music playing an essential role in creating a relaxed state of mind.  Since its formation in 2002, Rhythmic Fitness has attracted hundreds of  students from all ages with many of them being offered opportunities to perform in various events. Soheila has choreographed numerous performances  including numbers staged in the Chingay Parade and at the Esplanade  by  students from  Tanglin Trust school.  Soheila’s students have also performed in many charity events.

In 2011, She decided to establish a permanent home for the Rhythmic Fitness Studio where she could  offer various dance genres and fitness activities  to a wider audience.
